1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ShotAPI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ShotAPI provides a cloud-based API for capturing website screenshots, rendering HTML to images, extracting metadata, visual diffs, and batch processing. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You are responsible for all activities under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to capture content you don't have rights to access
- Attempt to overwhelm the Service with excessive requests beyond your plan limits
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Share or resell API keys without authorization
- Use the Service to capture screenshots of illegal or harmful content
5. API Usage and Rate Limits
Each plan has defined request limits. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension. We reserve the right to modify plan limits with prior notice.
6. Payment and Billing
Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
7. Data Retention
Screenshots and rendered images are stored temporarily for delivery and may be deleted after 24 hours. Usage logs are retained for billing and analytics purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
8. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance via dashboard announcements.
9. Limitation of Liability
ShotAPI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification.
